I love this tint. Leaves a dewy blush that looks like is coming from within - not just sitting on your face. But the packaging sucks. The twisty top dispense totally broke off mine!! I'm so peeved! Ugh.
I fell in love with the BECCA foundation until I began breaking out! I couldnt understand what was causing these sudden pimples. So I did a search for ingredients that contribute to acne and the culprit is Isopropyl myristate. Please be sure to read labels and if you are acne prone watch for powders that contain this ingredient.
Pros:Beautiful colors Cons:may contribute to acne breakouts
I have never been this happy with any make-up line I have tried. I went to Sephora last weekend looking for a primer (I have very oily skin) and was introduced to BECCA. The color of the fine pressed powder instantly made the shine disappear without making me look ashy or orange. The color and texture are amazing!!! Did I mention that I also got this product 75% off regular price
Pros:Great color selection, texture, price in Sephora Cons:NONE
Love ,Love love this stuff!! Its's great I purchased 2 one in the color Fudge and the other in Almond. And let me tell you it cover the worse blemishes it's fantastic. It's light and smooth. You can mix with other shades in their line its just great. A Little pricey but worth it. Next I am trying the Shimmers
I didn't really understand the purpose of a finishing powder. I have
dry skin and I thought that a finishing powder was a product that would
be use more for oil absorption. After reading all the recommendations
from various users, I decided to give it a try. I am happy with this
product. It helps set my make up (I use it with the Fix +) and it
gives my face a sort of matte look which I really like. It is quite
pricey but you only need a little and it last for a long time. It
doesn't feel heavy and my face doesn't feel like its caked up with
powder.
The shade I have is Ginger and works great with my pink undertones. This seems to blend well into my skintone, maybe more of a translucent with a hint of color. Very finely milled, goes on smooth, soft and flawless.
I like that it doesn't over dry my skin, creates a matte flawless finish at first and after a few minutes lets your natural oil shine through to give a more soft, powdery dewy finish. I have to admit, I do have to blot and I will reapply this throughout the day, but it never cakes on when reapplying. You do not need much of this. If you use too much at first it may seem kinda masky or cakey, if you wait a few minutes it'll adjust itself when your natural oils come through.
I also like that it is not highly pigmented so it lets your natural skin color come through and doesn't mess with the shade of your foundation. It kinda works with your foundation or skin tone, if that makes sense.
Does not irritate my sensitive skin, nor clog pores to break me out (I have sensitive, acne-prone, extremely oily skin).
Pros:finely milled, lightly pigmented, reveals natural skintone or foundation, doesn't clog pores or irritate skin, soft, smooth, flawless Cons:Expensive
i really wanted to love this, but i couldn't even find one thing i liked about it except the packaging and the fact it has spf 20. first, this isn't a foundation. it's more of a tinted moisturizer, so the coverage is VERY sheer. second, this made me so oily and i don't even have oily skin to begin with! third, the price is just steep for what it is. i used half of this before i realized it was the culprit to my gross skin. i figured the pressed and loose powder are so great, so i'd give this a chance, but i wish i hadn't wasted my money! like mentioned above, i did like the packaging. it was simple, sleek, and plastic, but that's not enough to get me to repurchase this.
Pros:spf, packaging Cons:made me oily, price, not widely available, barely any coverage
i haven't tried many loose powders to compare this to, but it doesn't take using others to see that this is pretty good. i initially bought it because i needed something to set my makeup (loose powder sets it) and make my skin appear much more smooth and closer to flawless. because of the price tag, i was a little hesitant, but i'm so glad i went ahead and bought this, except for one thing which i'll get to. it helps sets my makeup, somehow makes it "waterproof", and pefects my look. what it also does it make my skin oily! it should definitely be keeping the oilies at bay (like a good loose powder's supposed to do) because a loose powder and all. i don't even have oily skin (except during the summer), so i have no idea why it happens. usually it'd be a turn off, but i just love how it really makes my makeup water-resistant, as mentioned above. plus, i have the pressed powder which i spent $30+ on, so it actually lets me put it to use ;) i also love the packaging. i was a little scared the top would come off, but it's usually secured on pretty well, so even if i wanted to take it traveling, it'd be no problem. i've had this for over 6 months and use it a lot and i definitely see it lasting a very long time. i'd definitely repurchase, but i wouldn't use it during the summer because of how oily it could make my skin. the goods definitely outweigh the bad!
Pros:sets makeup, perfects look, somehow makes makeup water-resistant, shade selection, doesn't get cakey Cons:makes me oily, price, not widely available
Angel is a pretty light kind of milky pink. I wear it year round, with & without a tan, though I think its more flattering on me when my face has a little less color to it. I use it as a highlighter, shadow, mix it in with my translucent powder and occasionally mix it with gloss. I have almost all of the Becca Loose Shimmer Powders and am extremely happy with each of them. I love that they aren't glittery and the colors stay true throughout the day. They last through all my sweaty & long workouts without fading,LOVE THEMfor that! Angel isn't my favorite of the shimmers, but it is so pretty nonetheless and truley versatile, though not the most unique of the shades.
For the most part, I usually love Becca products, but Patina just doesn't work for me. I love the powder shadows and have never had a problem with them creasing, but Patina creased on my lids horribly within barely any time at all & gave me a bad case of racoon eyes. So disapponited, waited a while to get it. It is a very pretty dark green with shimmer, but the color fades quickly & runs terribly. Definitely won't repurchase.
I heard so many great things about Becca loose powder. The raves are endless in the forums. I tried it (finally) in Wheat. It is truly the best powder I have ever tried. I liked NARS (until I broke out). I liked LORAC, until I tried Becca. I have tried so many loose and pressed powders and nothing compares to this.
Fabulous!
Pros:natural looking, evens tone Cons:price and availability
Quite possibly my signature healthy flush shade. In the compact this looks like a bright poppy watermelon shade. On me it makes me look naturally fresh and pretty. I think this makes me look younger, which is not a problem since I just turned 27. I usually just wear this with Becca Maraschino lipgloss and mascara. This is my no makeup, makeup look.
Pros:Great color, will probably work on all complexions. Cons:Can't think of any.
This is also another holy grail perfect skin item for me. I use the shade Toast which is a golden tan color. I can also use Tan or Olive. The luminous skin color is so sheer that most people can use more than one shade. The whole concept of the LSC is not to provide coverage but more of a skintone tint to prepare your face for the other products in the line. Or to just use as a tinted moisturizer. But again, this is not meant to cover anything!
Pros:SPF 30, large color selection generous amount and pump applicator. Cons:Price, but no biggie to me. Don't know how this would work for someone with oily skin.
Another one of my staple items I use the shade Caramel on my light tan olive complexion. I use this shade mainly for blemishes. I find that the color Macadamia works better for my undereye circles. The compact has to concealers one is a more moisturizing and sheer version for under the eyes. The other is a dryer more opaque concealer for blemishes and other discoloration. A unique concept. The compact looks tiny, but I have been using the same compact everyday for six months and I still have easily 90% or more of the product remaining. I have not bought another concealer since purchasing this. I actually gave a way my $66 Cle de peau concealer because Becca was far better as far as a color match for me.
Pros:Extensive color selection, I guarantee you will find a perfect match. Cons:May seem like a high price for a little compact.
Another one of my staple items from Becca. I use the shade Honey. I would never have thought about using a stick foundation with my combo skin and all, but this is a lifesaver! I apply this after my Luminous skin color, blend, use concealer to cover any darker spots and then press and pat on the loose powder. Then, voila! Perfect skin. I *ALWAYS* get compliments on my perfect skin no one ever believes me when I say I have face makeup on. That is the ultimate compliment. For reference I have a light tan olive complexion.
Pros:Excellent color selection, great coverage. SPF 30. Cons:Price, but I am willing to pay the price for perfection. Don't know how this would work on someone with super oily skin
This is definitely my holy grail powder. I have not even thought about any others since I began using this. For my light tan olive skintone I use Wheat. I can also use Mocha since it is so sheer. In the container it looks like a light yellowy beige. It looks a little dry on at first, but in about 15 minutes it just melds with your skin and make you look like you are not wearing any makeup. I combine this with the luminous skin color, stick foundation & concealer and my skin looks flawless. I have combo skin, oily in the tzone, but normal everyone where else and I get no breakouts or oil coming through. I don't know the magic behind the system but it does work. I hope and pray that this line is never discontinued. Just for reference, I have a light tan olive skintone.
Pros:Indetectable on, natural, large selection of colors. Cons:Price, but for something so expertly crafted I have no problem paying the price. Also, some of the older versions have a scent to the product.
Becca compact concealer has a huge colour range. In fact, I found my perfect shade:) Itz creamy enough to glide smoothly onto my skin (no tugging needed). Itz seperated into 2 compartment- the left side has heavier full coverage (for dark scars) while the right side has lighter texture (for dark eye rings). Ultra elegant packaging which even encloses a tiny round mirror within for convenience. Almost perfect except for the price. I almost choked when I knew that it cost S$50 (MAC studio stick concealer cost S$30). Now it has withdrawn itself from my Singapore so I won't be purchasing this again. Althought itz tiny but it has lasted me for almost half a year despite me being a concealer gal.
Note that some oily skin gals might find it greasy instead of creamy cos' it'll most prob glide off their face in a few hours time even if they've use powder to set.
