Don't waste your money on this one. It looked like regular mascara when i put it on, it stayed on when I washed my face however i woke up with black bags under my eyes and my lashes where back to normal.
Pros:the idea is good Cons:does not stay on
rubs off in sleep
This is a super-light pressed powder. I use it when I need a touch up during the day to take away shine. Only downside is that I find the that the difference between the light and medium shades is very drastic. I would appreciate a shade in-between.
OM is a really pretty shade -- a very light pearly pink. This gloss feels spectacular on the lips. It actually helped improve the feel of my lips. I would buy it again!
Cutest Package. best Color- not bronze-but GOLDEN...
I feel rich in this. I feel like I splurged a zillion dollars to fly to St Tropez. I feel like a Pussycat Doll, like J Lo, like Eva Mendez... Like all those other glowy tan chicks out there in rich and tan land.
I bought this because I had read it was one of the top favorites on sephora. Plus I'm an avid reader of beauty magazines and this kept coming up as one of the best staples in your cosmetic bag. I have to say I completely agree!! When I first bought it, I applied and automatically was turned off by the stickynes and thought the color was a little too light for me. I learned how to use it better within a week and have now come to absolutely love it. It comes in a deoderant looking round tube that is fatter than it appears on sephora. Your twist off the cap and as you go through it you push it through the bottom like a push-pop. It stays a little sticky for the next couple hours but not in a disgusting manner. If anything I think it helps you achieve more of a dewy look on your cheeks which in the end is what you want. Also this stuff will last you forever. I've had it for four months and do 2-3 swipes on each cheek and then blend it out and it looks like I haven't used it at all. It's very buildable and blendable as well. I have very oily skin and it works perfect for me. I will definitely buy it again if I ever run out!!
Pros:Dewy look, blendable and buildable, last all day, doesn't run out quick, a little goes a long way Cons:Kinda sticky at first if your a novice but easy to get the hang off
Park Avenue Princess, where have you been all of my life?! I have been searching for YEARS for the perfect bronzer for my fair skin that doesn't overload me with glitter or make me look dirty. The search is over! This bronzer has such a pretty subtle color (not orangey or too dark) and it has a very slight shimmer to it (read: not large flecks of glitter that make your cheeks look like a disco ball!). The packaging is adorable as an added bonus.
Pros:color, doesn't make you look dirty or too "blingy", packaging is cute Cons:pricey
The Toolbox is a clever little kit with all the accessories needed to groom and primp your brows.
The kit is small, and can be fit into a purse easily. Everything here is in mini-version. In the top part of the compact, the kit contains a mini pair of tweezers, a mini eye-pencil, and mini eyebrow gel. Then, there is a bottom section which twists open to reveal a colorless eyebrow wax, and a powdered eyebrow filler each in it's own square compartement. There is also a mini tapered brush included.
The mini eyebrow pencil and the brow powder come in a few different shades..It's pretty standard (like most brow kits); the light for blondes, etc. etc. The shade I bought (for brown hair) matches pretty well.
It should be said that although everything is in a mini version, it all works very well. If you're at home, and you have full-sized tweezers, then they would be better to use, but if you're in the car, or elsewhere, the small tweezers come in very handy (I know I've used them several times in the car after finding an annoying stray hair or two). I also like the brow gel, which can be used alone for a natural look. I think the brow gel, and wax are among the major highlights of this kit.
The brow wax is wonderful! I really like all the products included in the kit. I gave it an overall rating of 4 because I think the shading on the brow powder could be a little bit more on-target (but maybe I just bought the wrong color for me). I gave the packing quality a 4 because even though I like the design, sometimes the bottom compartement that "twists" open sticks a lil' bit. At $32, this kit is more expensive than some, not as expensive as others.
Oh, I almost forgot...It also come with three brow stencils in popular shapes (classic, high arch, etc.), and handy-dandy instructions, in case you're a complete moron and don't know how to use the stencils (lol).
Overall; very useful kit, especially when traveling, or doing makeup on someone...Everything you need is right there at your fingertips.
Pros:Very well-put together kit; includes all the brow essentials. Small enough to carry in purse, or kit. Cons:Bottom half can "stick", small pieces can get lost if not careful...Brow powder color could be a better match.
This kabuki brush is super soft on the skin and so far has retained its shape very well (I will see what happens after washing). I like the shape of it and the look. It also comes in this cute little carrier - you just have to be careful putting it back in there as it is snug.
Pros:Soft and cute and has an adorable carrier. Cons:A bit pricey but worth it.
okay, i waited and waited, i even tried other stains but they were hard to blend. finally broke down when i saw the insanley cute 3 minis w/gold glitter bag at sephora. At first i was putting them on after my primer and before mmu. It absorbed right away and left now color, so now i apply over mmu and it is great! I thought it would be sticky and make a mess of my minerals but it doesn't. I have time to blend and get an even, sheer flush that looks great over my mmu.
One of the products that Tarte is know for, I love that the cheek stain last quite a while. Although it becomes quite sticky-ike when you touch your face. Its sort of like a sheer berry and you can layer it for intense color. At first I was going to send it back to Sephora cause I didnt like it much. But I gave it another go and it takes some time to get used to. In the beginning you should use your CLEAN fingers and run through the product (the stain sort of resembles like a deordorant balm) and then on to your cheek bones. When ypu do touch up make sure that you put a little powder over it each and every application or itll look sticky and greasy. But overall I like it :)
Pros:Very pretty colors, lasts a nice time Cons:May look greasy if you dont powder afterwards, a bit sticky
Well this bronzer is on the pricey side but well worth it. I wear it everyday and after 8 months, I still have plenty of bronzer left in the compact. The packaging is sexy and super cute and it comes with a built-in mirror, which is great. Others bronzers don't oddly enough.
Now for the quality. It's the BEST bronzer I've tried. The color is a natural brown and gives me the most gorgeous glow. It blends easily and looks totally natural. It also has just the right amount of shimmer. I wear it in the winter and it doesn't look to shimmery or fake. I will definitely re-purchase in the future and it one's of my absolute go-to products. I won't leave homr w/o this and mascara. It's also great as a blush. Basically, Tarte hit the bulls' eye with this product.
Pros:best natural looking bronzer, gives me the J. Lo glow Cons:price, packaging adorable but wears easily
I like this little thing. Its good for everyday use and having the brushes and the pencil together stored at the bottom of the colors is very convinient. Also its very cheap, I looked at the brushes individually and some were $20 each! This little thing was $37!
ok, so I bought a set of 12 refills of this off of ebay for $20 plus shipping. Best decision ever! This is the old, square powder, not the new round mineral ones (which I *don't* like). The reason I rated the packing so low is that it's impossible to find the compact! I finally posted on the tarte message board, and one of their staff took pity on me and sent me an old compact. The compact for this is pretty cheap-o (cardboard with pink metallic paper on it!), but oh well, I love the power's coverage and it has staying power, let me tell you! Anyway, this is my hg powder!
Pros:cheap on ebay. great coverage and staying power! Cons:impossible to find the compact!
This is a really great lipgloss. Double ended lighter pink[samantha] rosy darker pink[jake]. Glides on smoothly, and doesn't feel gooey or sticky at all. Colors are great.
Pros:Good texture, Great Colors, Good Packaging Cons:
because i loved their bronzer and packaging so much, i thought i'd give this blush a try. i was looking for a color i didn't already have, so i picked up this shade which is a pink, but since i'm so bad at describing colors, i'm not gonna describe it more than that lol the packaging is sooooo cute and so different from other lines. i think that's the only thing i actually liked about this blush, though.
honestly, i wore this once and i bought it a longggg time ago because i'm not too crazy about the shade.
first off, it went on SO heavily. i swiped my brush across it like i would with any other blush and so much came off, i could use it for both cheeks in one swipe and i still had color left over.
second, it just didn't suit my skin very well. as much as i tried to blend it in, it just looked like it was sitting on top of my skin, looking very artificial. the shimmer also didn't show up on my skin at all, which surprised me because when i first saw it, i was like, whoa, OD shimmer.
i've heard great things about tarte blushes and a lot of them were so gorgeous, so i'm not gonna dismiss them completely because i do think they live up to their hype. i just think i grabbed the wrong shade for myself.
as far as their wear went, it did last on my skin most of the day, so no complaints there. all i know is that i won't be repurchasing this shade anymore, but look forward to checking out the others.
Pros:packaging, widely available Cons:too pigmented, price, artificial-looking
This came in an introductory package. It is a light brown powder highlighter with shimmer, but not to sparkly or glittery. I use it on my legs for some nights out and/or special occasions. Does look great without having any stockings on to give a little oooph. Not sure that I would be confortable wearing it anywhere else but my legs. You have to use a light hand tho..or your legs look powdery and blotchy..but it does stay on well till you take a shower. Good natural color. Not sure that I would purchase again.
I sooooooooo wanted to love this and was excited to get it in and try it. I got this in a mini set of three in a introductory package..and I knew probably from the get-go that I wouldn't use Snowbunny and gave it to a friends young daughter. The other two, I really wanted to try..The colors were nice a rich coral & light pink..but so sticky and hard to work with to get them even. It seemed to stay tacky to the touch all the day. Maybe, if I get the hang of the roller applicator, it might get a little better with the application. The smells were cool. a peachy and light strawberry scent. It was nice to try, but I won't be repurchasing it ...it's just not worth the price and product for me.
Pros:color/smell Cons:texture/feel/difficult to work with/price
i'm pretty light-skinned, so i thought this bronzer would look too artificial on me. it was recommended by someone on the boards, so i gave it a shot and i love it! it looks so natural on me and although there's shimmer, it's very little, just enough to make you look glowing and healthy. it's also mineral powder, which is a plus. sephora's website describes its color as a "highly pearled light yellow gold". it lasts pretty long when my skin's powdered (it adheres better) and never turns orangey. the best part is the packaging, though. it's so pretty and i love whipping it out in public LOL i've never seen anything like it. it's also pretty big so if the price tag's a turnoff, you use very little and you get a lot for your money, so it'll last and last.
Pros:mineral powder, doesn't look orange, long-wearing, quality, packaging Cons:price, not widely available
