When I was in NYC at the end of July, I schlepped over to the MUFE store from Penn Station in the brief time I had before I had to catch the A train to JFK just so I could try this foundation. Of course, my color was sold out but they gave me a sample. Can I just say love? The first couple of times I tried it, I used a foundation brush and it didn't come out that great, plus it flaked on my chin. Turns out the flaking was from a sunscreen I've been using. With a good primer, this stuff stays on really well and with a Sonia Kashuk elliptical sponge it applies beautifully (I stipple). One of the things I *love* about it is that when I apply it, I don't look like I'm wearing foundation -- it looks like my skin. It also looks amazing in photographs. MUFE has created a very wide range of shades in this foundation, too, which is great. If I actually start getting wedding clients, I'm going to be buying this for foundation.
Pros:Looks like my own skin only better, very lightweight feel, photographs well, beautiful in person... Cons:Expensive! Also, without primer it doesn't look as good, but isn't that true of most, if not all, foundations?
I used Face & Body foundation for my wedding and I've worn it both before and since. Every time, it's stayed on until I take it off. The only problem is that I need to do multiple coats because it's so sheer. It looks like my skin only better and it photographs beautifully.
Pros:Stays on all day *and* night, doesn't sweat off, doesn't run with tears, basically it doesn't budge, looks like my natural skin, feels so lightweight sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. Cons:Need multiple applications for good coverage, have to wait between each "coat" for the foundation to dry, which takes a little while. Also, it has a strong fragrance which could be a problem for some people and the glass bottle, while durable, is a little heavy.
In general, I really love all the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes eyeliners, but I really love this 12L color. It's desribed on Sephora as a metallic teal blue, but I find that it has more of a cobalt effect on my eyes. It glides on really smoothly and is great for the waterline. But probably the best part about this liner is that it stays put. Once applied, it gives you a few seconds to smudge it around and what not, but after those few seconds it sets up and doesn't budge until you are ready to take it off. I've tried the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils and the performance of the MUFE pencils are far superior. This is a must have liner!
Pros:Smooth application, Great for waterline, Vibrant color payoff, Great staying power Cons:I guess maybe it's a little pricey, but worth it
Described as iridescent beige, this was more pinky on me. Used it mainly on my eyes. Was just ok. Had to use it wet or it got everywhere!! Really not worth the money!!
purchased this in Natural and I absolutely loved the smell of it. It's like a green-tea sweetness and very calming. The only problem is that it made my face have an orange tint to it. It's very watery-like in consistency and overall didn't do anything to my skin but make it orange with an obvious different shade on my face in comparison to the rest of my body. It didn't create and even toned look and you could also just barely touch your face and it leave a print on whatever had pressed against it. You do get a good bit for 8 bucks but overall it just wasn't worth it for me.
Pros:Cheap for a tinted moisturizer, smells very pleasant Cons:turned orange no matter what, came off by barely touching your face
As I was building my Make Up Forever supply, I picked up several colors of the Sculpting Blush. It is definitely one of the best blushes I have EVER tried. The colors are very subtle when applied lightly but easily layered for a more "obvious" look. The powder is very soft and blends well with whatever base makeup you use
Pros:Natural Looking Color Cons:Compact is kinda hard to open
I tried this product on a whim despite it's hefty price tag. With that said, you do get a lot for your buck. I have used it everyday for the past three months and am only a quarter of the way through the bottle! I have very light skin so finding a shade that works well is very hard but this is spot on! It is advertised as having a tightening effect on the skin which makes it ideal for mature skin. I don't notice that effect much but I am only 26 and don't have wrinkles. The coverage is light to medium depending on how you apply. It definitely leaves your skin flawless and radiant without feeling overly heavy.
Pros:pump dispenser, flawless coverage Cons:price(but worth it) only available at Sephora
I love this. It's a new HG for me. It lasts all day and stays pretty matte most of the day. By the end of the day, my face is kind of dewy but doesn't look greasy and this is without a touchup. The coverage is pretty full so I only need to use a little bit. The packaging is a plastic squeeze tube so it makes it a lot harder to break and only the amount you need comes out. A bit expensive but totally worth it since I have to use less it'll last a long time. It comes in a shade lighter than NC15 which is a plus for me. 15 is just a bit lighter than NC15 so I have to mix it with something else.
These pencils are awesome!! They're very soft, glide on easily, and last all day. I have the mat black and pearly brown. I mainly use them to line my lower lashes and waterline. I also have senstive eyes, but have no issues with these. Only downside is the price.
Pros:Stays put, no smudging, easy to apply. Cons:Price
I use this as my eye primer and it works really well. It keeps my eyeshadow on all day. I've used it for my face and it provides a medium coverage. It's pretty liquidy but still covers well. It's a squeeze tube packaging and since you only need a bit to cover, the applicator creates a lot of waste since too much comes out with one little squeeze. The colour looks pretty light and orangey but doesn't go on that way. I find that it's a bit too dry to use under my eyes even though I have oily skin but it does last all day.
This is a really great foundation. It gives a lot of coverage, so only a small amount is needed. I like to apply it with MAC's 187 brush.
It comes in a squeeze bottle, which is great. It gives a really nice, flawless finish. You don't even need concealer since this foundation covers up everything.
this eye liner stays put pretty well, but not as great as i thought it would. i got this liner in black and the color isn't very brilliant. i would stick with my mac eye liner.
I really like the shine on powders. They make my skin glow without looking greasy and it's not too overpowering. All of the shades are pretty flattering. Lasts all day on me.
Pros:Nice glow, lasts all day, good packaging Cons:Price, not enough colours
This is a really dark color ..a blue/black color with shimmer...Depending on what colors you use it looks more blue....It works really well with the V..or as an cake eyeliner...goes on smooth and blends well...keeps its color and good lasting power..it is pricey..but worth it...
I have been really wanting to try these e/s..and I wasn't disapointed...great colors and pigmentation...This is an offwhite color..that goes with everything...goes on very smooth and easy to blend with others...lasting power is very good and it keeps it's color..they are pricey but totally worth it...
