This is the best wrinkle relaxer I've ever used and it WORKS wonderfully. The other benefit is it is a stain repellant - how cool is that! The scent is so fresh, mild and relaxing as well. I also like the fact that this item has no harsh chemicals and uses natural and no harmful ingrediants. Therefore it's ok for sensitive skin types (we have a few in our family, certain detergents with dyes or fragrance will irritate or cause a rash).
It's not often that I've got wrinkly clothes, as I tend to fold them out of the dryer, but if something does become wrinkly, this is the stuff. Easy enough for my daughters to use as well. Just spray on, smooth out - I also shake the item of clothing a little, and walah! (you can use more if needed, - hard or tough wrinkles). Works like a charm. I think I tried the Downy wrinkle reducer back a while ago (think it was Downy) and this one is actually better.
Drawback, again, not available in stores. You must order from Melalueca directly and to get the best preferred price you must be a member. You need not be a member to order, but you will pay a higher price then.
Pros:natural non-harsh ingrediants, fresh scent, ok for sensitive skin, work like a charm AND stain repellant! Cons:not available in stores, must order from Melalueca
This is a VERY gentle, mild yet highly effective in cleaning and brightening your clothes. Gentle enough for babies clothing. Non-irritating, natural, non-harsh ingrediants. Works perfect for my daughters sensitive skin, no dyes, perfumes or additives to irritate sensitive skin. Contains no SLS, but still lathers (which is the ingrediant that will strip & fade your clothes).
I notice less lint in dryer lint trap. Never realized how much less until I used a friends dryer and cleaned her lint trap and she had 2-3 times the amount of lint I had. She assured me she cleans her trap every load. You will see lint, but about 1/2 the amount. This obviously is showing me it's less 'wearing or striping' on our clothes.
1 oz per load is all you need (very concentrated, if you use more, you're just wasting it), if you have hard water you may use 1 1/2 oz or if doing extra large loads. Definitely brightens and cleans my clothes better than regular store bought detergents.
Downfall, not available in stores, you must order this detergent from Melalueca AND to get the lower preferred customer price, you must become a member (yearly fee I think is around $29). Worth the fee, this item would be $9.00 for a non-member, or $5.99 for members.
32 oz bottle costs $5.99 (32 loads of laundry at 1 oz per load this comes out to 18.7 cents per load). If you buy the 96 oz bottle costs $14.99 you save even more 15.6 cents per load.
Pros:no SLS, gentle, mild enough for sensitive and baby clothing, highly concentrated, use only 1 oz per load, no harsh ingrediants Cons:none really, hard to get use to only using 1 oz at a time
Note: Sorry I couldn't get an exact name for these; they're no longer on the AE website. Anyhow, I saw these on the clearance rack at AE and at T.J. Maxx... but they were cheaper at T.J. Maxx ($15). They're a nice mediumish darksish wash with AE's classic back pocket design on the back in yellow. They are a bit too long for capris IMO, so I just roll them once... it makes a statement and makes them the perfect length! I'm very happy with these.
Pros:can be found at T.J. Maxx/Marshall's, inexpensive, nice wash, AE's classic back pocket done nicely, looks cute cuffed once Cons:too long for capris, but this is a pro in the fact that cuffing them once looks cute and makes these the perfect length!
This polo, IMO, doesn't look very attractive in the pic... but IRL on me, I love it. It's white with a pink moose on it, two colors that complement each other well. The polo itself is of good quality... they now retail for $25 at abercrombiekids, but they used to be $20. I think it's worth it due to the quality. It looks good with collar up or down. Note: I had to take an extra large in the abercrombiekids store, but at A&F they have similar polos except for more money... $40.
Pros:love the color of the polo and of the moose, good quality, looks good with collar up or down Cons:website could get a prettier pic of it, price
"Jenna" is the name of one of abercrombiekids' polos... I have one in light yellow. I love the color because it suits my skin tone well, and it's a perfect color for spring. Dark blue is a nice color for the moose because it suits the yellow. I love this polo because of it's preppy vibe. It's expensive if you compare the price to prices of Aeropostale and such (it's $25), but I think it's good quality, and I'd rather pay more for the better brand. The texture is nice, and different parts of the polo have different textures. Overall, the design and materials used to replicate the design is perfect to me. I love to pop the collar, but this polo looks nice collar down as well. Note: I bought this from the abercrombiekids store in an extra large, but they have similar polos at A&F except for much more $$$ ($40).
Pros:color of polo, color of moose, design, quality, looks good with collar up or down Cons:price
During summer '05, when I was browsing the website, I decided this is what I wanna spend my AE Gift Card on because it's a fall must-have that I loved the look of. I like this cardigan... I bought it way back in September, and AE already cleared it out so you def. won't be able to find it anymore... anyhow, the material is too thin; it would benefit from being thicker so as to layer it over more things without what you're wearing underneath to show through. I like the yellow color, and the orange eagle is a nice contrast to the yellow color. This is perfect for fall over a pink or red tank top with pumpkiny tan cords. I paid for this with an AE Gift Card; it was $25... I don't think it was worth the price considering the thinness and all... so I kinda regret this purchase, as I coulda gotten something on sale or something... but I'm still just gonna enjoy this cardigan because I do like it. However, it isn't the must-have that I thought it'd be. Note: I'm not positive of the EXACT name of this cardigan or the color... I just put what I best remembered. Oh, and the red tank doesn't come with the cardigan... this is just the only pic I could find. Sorry that it's too small!
Pros:pretty color, lovely for fall Cons:I spent too much on it, material's too thin
I like these jeans. Right now, they're on clearance for $20, but I paid $40 for them back in September. At this point, I kinda regret it, but if I think about it, there are some things I love about these jeans. The little rips are cute for when I don't wanna go for the full-on destoyed look, the wash looks cute with a lot of my clothes, they're comfy, and these are flattering on my figure.
Pros:little rips for when you don't wanna go for the full-on destroyed look, the wash looks cute with some of my clothes, comfy, and flattering on my figure Cons:price I paid for them
I am so pleased with this hoodie. I got it on clearance for $30. It was originally $70-- a price that, for a hoodie, is too high for me to even consider... especially because this hoodie is cropped length-wise and with shrunken sleeves! It's a lovely cream color, the moose color complements the cream, it's stylish, has cute buttons, and is of excellent quality.
I paid $12 for these jeans as I found them at T.J. Maxx, but the EXACT same ones are in AE for $30. They're definitely the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned. The name is very deceiving as they are not "skinny jeans." The 77% cotton, 22% polyester, and 1% spandex makes for jeans that are the closest feeling to sweatpants. I also love the wash. The wash makes these jeans extremely versatile and easy to wear with most outfits. There is nothing about these jeans that I'm unhappy with, but jeans are tricky, so always try before you buy!
Pros:not too expensive, SO comfortable, nice wash, versatile Cons:none that I have found
These are my favorite jeans ever! SO is a brand that you can find in the Junior's department at Kohl's. I have a very slender, boyish figure, and have a hard time finding jeans that aren't baggy in the hips or bottom. Plus, I prefer a mid-rise, which can be hard to find in the Junior's section!
These jeans are perfect for me though! The waist sits about an inch below my navel (my favorite fit), and they are very flattering through the hips and bottom on me! They have a slight flare (as opposed to a large bell-bottom flare) which I also really like. My only complaint is that the length only works with flat shoes, they are a little short for me to wear with boots, which is why I gave these jeans a 4 instead of a 5! But I still wear these jeans every day I don't wear my boots!
They are also very affordable; only $30 regularly priced and often on sale for $15-20!
Pros:Mid-rise, fits great on my boyish figure Cons:Too short for heels but good for flat shoes
